Many Australians have super they’re not actively aware of. This can happen after changing jobs or contact details, with funds sometimes held by a previous super provider or transferred to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) until they’re claimed.
The good news is that it’s often simple to search for and locate any super in your name, either through your current super fund or via ATO services — and decide whether consolidating makes sense for you.
