The ETU's own black thunders
The ETU NSW Branch 's idea to take the “Your Rights at Work’ message to the road with 6 glossy new ETU vans designed to spread the message about Howard’s harsh and unfair industrial relations changes has taken off all around Australia.
South Australia and Western Australia have now taken this up and have campaign vans visiting local communities to spread the word on what is really happening as a result of these terrible laws.
The vans have been attracting a lot of attention wherever they go.
The message is really getting out there. And the impact is increasingly clear: average working families are having to cope with lower wages, longer working hours and a lower quality of life.
The vans are designed to spread the “Your Rights at Work” message and to make sure that the Howard Government are thrown out of power in the 2007 election in the same way that they have thrown workers rights out the window with these laws.
The ETU are committed to ensuring that Howard’s laws are ripped up after the next election and we know the only way to do that is to ensure that they Howard Government do not return to power again.
